The energizer bunny, well not really.
Just a quick update, sober life is going very good. Feels normal again. I try not to gloss over my relapse, but I don't dwell on it too much. I'm in the middle of a 19 day stretch of working every single day. Its almost comical, I just grind it out every day. Sleep, eat, gym, work and back to sleep. I know the structure is good for me. As some of you know, if I have too much time on my hands, I will get myself in trouble.
I don't post often at the moment, and probably won't until after the Holidays as we will be working a lot until then. But I want to offer encouragement to all of you who are working on sobriety. Never EVER give up trying. I fell after 4 years and was able to pull out of it, so its never futile to keep at it. Jeff

I love this update! Sounds like work is keeping you crazy busy, try not to burn out...take a day if you need it, or if you can. I know sometimes its not possible. But, sounds like you're enjoying it anyways , great to hear!

Thanks anxiousrock, at 53 I understand burnout. I am not in any contest at work, the head cheese thinks I'm doing just fine.....which means I think I am doing just fine. Take care friend.
Awesome to hear Jeff! So glad you have work that keeps you busy and satisfied.
One thing I was thinking about reading your post is how much alike you and I are, we both really thrive when we are busy and occupied with work or projects or exercise, idle time is our enemy. With that in mind I have already started to prepare for the holidays. It is not the holiday that is a trigger for me, but the change in my routine, more down time just "hanging out" and less productive tasks throughout the day. I am still working on ideas, but am doing my best to think about it now and come up with projects and tasks for when my works slows during the holiday season. Might this be a good idea for you too?
