Thiamin supplements

What is the recommendation regarding these? I was prescribed 100mg three times a day in the hospital but am loath to continue taking it unless absolutely necessary. Due to Ireland's health system, the cost works out at €18 a month, money I currently don't have.

If they were prescribed I'd be loath to go against professional advice without checking with your doctor at least.
Up to you tho.

After all each patient is individual and each doctor prescribes what they to the best of their knowledge think will help their patient. Maybe you could bring this up with your doctor and ask them to explain what is the therapeutic benefit of these to you personally as part of your treatment plan. I can completely sympathise with the cost factor and it is completely up to you but I believe it would be highly unethical for anyone else to provide medical advice to you, but your doctor that has personally evaluated your case.
