Homecoming, I know this sounds cheesy, but it has been working for me to have faith that work will come for you. Try not to stress about it and leave it to a high power or whatever you believe in. Focus on staying sober. That is the best we can do for ourselves, for if we don’t we have no chance.

BABM has designed a bridge and made it to the other side.

I'm afraid that, yes, what you say here does sound cheesy.

Yeah, I thought so, lol. But the other option is to stress about it or get down and out. And what good does that do? Like I said, for me, handing my big problems, the ones I have no control over, to a higher power has been working.

My daughter has a debilitating disease that is in a major flare right now. It is very difficult for her, so it is very difficult for me. I'm an empath so I feel her pain to a great extent. The old me though would have been consumed by this. Trying to solve her pain and struggles. The me of today knows that I have little control over what she is going through. Do I do my best to find her good doctors? Do I fight to make sure she has the medicine she needs and the environment that is most beneficial to her? DEFINITELY. But I can only control what I can control. I can't control her body and brain chemistry. So I don't stress about that (too much).

You can't control the economy, or COVID, or the way employers make their decisions. So it does no good to focus on it. For me, when I focus on the things I can control, I am more serene and at peace.

Rooting for you.

This pretty much gets straight to the core of recovery for me. If it is cheesy, give me another slice.
