Happy Father's Day to all who are celebrating today. :)

My dad’s funeral was almost exactly a year ago. He had a s*** final twelve months, but the previous 86 years weren’t that bad. He really wanted to travel but was too shy/henpecked to do so apart from visiting me overseas a couple of times. The moral is don’t spend your life wishing.

The wrong forum for this last point. His last ever photo was taken in hospital on his birthday with a miniature bottle of whisky which he downed in one. Well, he was on his way out anyway, and he was a very moderate drinker all his life. He’d have been horrified to see how much I drank in my bad times, so at least I was slim and sober at the end.
