Good afternoon
Good afternoon
Good afternoon (from Chicago).
I'm Chris, an alcoholic. It's been a bit since I've posted something. I know that's not good. I'm still struggling and haven't committed to a plan, nor have one yet. I know that's also good. But I think it's important to type out feelings, if nothing for myself. Still going through divorce. Still active in my addiction. And my sister, brother in law and their children have covid. Very mild, they are doing well all things relative. But I feel like every day it's just something else. But anyways, I wish everyone well thoughts. And thank you all for the camaraderie of this community!

Nice to have you here, Chris. I just reached 8 months sober after many years of daily drinking. This can certainly be done and is well worth the effort. You are right, a plan is needed. Recognizing that seems like a good start.
You can do this!

Hi Chris and Welcome, I hope we can inspire you to stop drinking for good. I'm sure it's tough going through a divorce and trying to find energy to stop drinking, but, I bet that you'd find you could cope better if you were sober.
Best wishes to your sister, brother-in-law and their kids.

Hi Chris! We joined the same month...

Also, most AA meetings are online. Here is just one group's listings (Pacific time, GMT -7h) out of literally thousands:

I'm glad you posted again Chris. You obviously want to get free of it. It's doing nothing to help you cope & will never make anything better. I hope you'll stay with us & keep posting.
