One thing I love about weekends being sober is not waking up wondering how long I can last before I “need” a drink to calm me, or how much to feel “normal”. (Not that it ever stopped there) Instead I sit with a coffee feeling relaxed and grateful. I may not be soaring like an eagle just yet but I am spreading my wings and taking fight.

Welcome to Weekenders puzzle, waking up sober on a Saturday morning is hard to beat.

Well done for helping that Goose Lunar, fishing line is a menace, I have seen it on ducks at the canal.

Very nice Lamborghini Kaily. I would probably not choose that colour myself but it looks good on a Lambo - a bit of irrelevant information since I cannot afford one.

As Andy mentioned it is the Summer Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK and in time honoured tradition it is freezing in London combined with intermittent rain.

September from Tuesday onwards

Thanks lunar. That is exceptional value, I understand they are available in right hand drive format too which helps us Brits (and others)

Yes, that does look like fishing wire - very sad.

Good shot of that parakeet, Kaily.

lunar, I can only imagine how difficult it was to remove the fishing wire from that goose. What a good thing for you to do. The grateful procession of geese that followed must have been a sight to see.

Glad you had fun on your vacay, manta.

Have a good day, peaceful evening, all.

, all.

I'm just back home now after doing the guest speaker for the inpatients residents in my old Treatment Center. I got on really well and enjoyed, I think the
guys got a lot from me too (hopefully) Spoke for the hour (with questions) Would defiantly do it again.

Hi puzzle I enjoy not having to think and plan for my next drink too!

Kaily, nice car. Is that your parakeet? Or do they fly free in your area?

Wow Reid, that’s great you can help others that way!

Sao, thanks for the EWF video of September. One of my favorite songs!

I am so grateful that I no longer have to make sure I have enough wine for the weekend. So glad it doesn't rule my life anymore.

I don't get them often in my garden, but they are loving the sunflowers now they have gone to seed.

Reid so pleased it went well. You must be really chuffed!

Kaily, thanks for the info! I never knew they’d survive outside in our climate. It’s so good to see them fly free.

Well done Reid, I'm glad it went well. Hats off to you, it must have taken a bit of nerve to do it. Perhaps it will open up a whole new career for you, move over Ricky Gervaise, BAFTA's here we come!

Thanks Hevyn, I agree, it's a great track. I saw them live in the early 1980's and they were superb. The writer of that song, Allee Willis, passed away a few months ago, she wrote the theme tune to Friends as well.

I saw Earth, Wind and Fire in 2009. Great show.

Our September is going to come in HOT. We don’t usually experience a cool down until late September, early October.

Off to the coast today, taking my Dad and Alfie. My Dad voiced that he would love to see the sea again. Before my brain fully engaged I was offering to take him.

I am a bit scared of motorways and long drives. And my Dad..

And to top it all, got to drive over this bridge. I'm scared of heights.

At least that bridge is one way only Kaily, you can take the tunnel on the way back.

ps don't forget to pay the Dart charge like I did last time I crossed the river there.

Let us know how it goes Kaily. It sounds like an adventure! Are you going in your new car? That’s exciting
