Staying sober
Kind of a boring title, and I want to apologize for not commenting too much on other threads. But I am here for a short period of time most day. Just a quick update: Still sober, don't think about it too much. Working a lot and adjusting to the physical nature of the work. Making progress there, and losing weight. So that's good.
My only thought on drinking right now is that I am so busy, IF I fell and binged for a day or two, I am certain I would lose my job. I would not be able to perform. No way. I look at it as a good thing.
PS: a new guy (newer than me, went into alcohol withdrawal at work, they had to wheel him out. He said he was exhausted but I knew the difference. He had ascities pretty bad, skinny as a rail and each day only brought 1 bottle of mountain dew with him, no food. He hasn't been back.
Hope all of you are fighting the good fight.
