Back to day 1

Got nine days then, stupid as I am, took a drink, I thought I'd come straight back instead of trying to Bury my head in the sand x

Keep tryin til it sticks.

Welcome back Boggle :)

I think every one of us though a little time off might reset us into 'normal' drinkers...but it doesn't work that way.

Abstinence is not the same as control.

My life is good because I no longer drink not because I've learned to drink normally.

D

PS I'm sorry for your loss - but let yourself grieve, Its a natural process man.

I hope this time you can make it stick. :) Living sober can be difficult at first, but the rewards are worth the effort. :)

Boggle10 08-20-2020 09:10 PM

I read through a few of those. Why do we do it to ourselves, il probably be on Sr a lot today just to get me through the day, next time I think of drinking, well I will think a bit harder x

Boggle10 08-20-2020 09:12 PM

Thanks, Dee and Least, sometimes I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall, you know even when I bought the bottle I was saying don't do it, but stupid me gave in, x

Glad you came right back!!❤️

MaximusD 08-21-2020 02:19 PM

Boggle, relapses happen. The key is to come right back and start again just like you did. Never stop trying and you will get it.

Silver11 08-21-2020 04:37 PM

I’m on day 2 after having over 7 months. We can do this!

Steely 08-21-2020 04:41 PM

You are not "stupid" Clark. You can do this. Suit up Superman. :)

Hevyn 08-21-2020 04:55 PM

We turn to it for comfort during sad times, forgetting that it never actually helps us handle anything. It weakens us & adds more sorrow on top of what we're already dealing with. Now you have further proof that it's not our friend, Boggle. You'll be more determined.

Steely 08-21-2020 05:34 PM

I've misposted.

Sorry Clark, there I am reminding you that you are not "stupid" and to "suit up". Still a good idea though. :)

I'm sorry Boggle. Sorry you picked up. :(

Seriously, you are just learning how to do this thing. And it can be done. In the end it's really not worth the trouble. And it feel so good to be sober.
