Made it to 6 days
This is the longest I’ve been sober in almost a year! It’s nice to wake up without a headache, swollen eyes, and nausea. I still have night sweats which is the longest that symptom has ever lasted. All in all I don’t miss it. I know once I have to be social again the true challenge begins.

I hope you find like I did that being social is a piece of cake sober.
And it is more enjoyable...you feel more in control of yourself...and when you see others tying one on...you feel a sense of relief that you are going to get in your car....drive home sober and remember getting into your comfy bed.
You may also find and get the "rush" from being someones designated driver.
There are so many benefits to being sober in a crowd....one I like the best is not only eating the "food" but tasting it.
Also, on your first night out...or about people where you feel this may become a trigger for you....make sure you have your own vehicle in case you have to dip out...
If you really want to be healthy...you will not worry about what others think...your the only one who is going to be wallowing in your drunken pain if you do drink because the others....probably don't drink like you do...and if they do...they probably need some help.

It takes getting used to..breaking old habits....letting cravings pass...they only last a couple minutes and then you may realize...wow...that wasn't that bad...i got thru it.....keep going.
