The higher power
 

Just wanted to share something I found pretty cool on Monday (just over a month for me now)

​​​​​​I had a couple of things going on that I knew I couldn't progress further and am awaiting the other party / person to move along to completion

Went to aa on the Monday evening and just made a decision to hand them over to a higher power greater than myself
​​​​​​
​​​​After I made this decision, a warmth and calm came over my body, today I saw some progress on one of the things

I'm only really early days but I just thought it was great that I noticed that

For those struggling today, I'm with you and stand with you as we're all in this stuff together

You never need to feel restless, irritable and discontent (pretty sure that's from big book) if you don't pick the first one up, it can't get you 😉

I’ve been trying that too. I think you are right... it’s a calm that comes with giving it over. The other night I was walking my dog.... and I decided to discard my thoughts and just be in the moment. Give up all the stress and worry.

about 10 steps later I found a handwritten note on the ground. It said “everything will be ok. I love you.”

no other papers on the ground. nothing. just right out of the blue.

a message I needed.... but it came right after I handed all my worries over. A message that was literally given to me when I was finally ready to receive it.

i taped it to my door. It’s hard to give up control. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone.

The higher power is real. Definitely.

This gave me chills...I want to cry. I say the lords prayer several times a day now. Believing in a higher power gives me HOPE.
