John65's Accountability Thread
Congrats John on making it to a month. This is merely a suggestion, but why don’t you consider posting in the Weekender thread once more? You see many familiar and new faces there. Anyway, I’m glad things are going so well for you.

Hi John,
Well done on your hundred days! I'm at a similar point in my journey, it's day 113 for me. May as well hitch a ride with you if that's okay?!
I'm not on campral but take naltrexone, which I understand, is similar. What can I say buddy, it's been tough, real tough, but I'm still here. I'm now managing to think a day at a time. When I first left detox, I was having to break the day into hour chunks, getting through each one dry. So, I guess I'm making some progress. I hope you and I make it my friend, would be nice to beat the demon with someone who's at the same stage to me.

Yes, come on board, I see you are in UK too.
It is tough, but it does get better slowly but surely, as I'm sure you will have noticed already.
Let's do this,
All the best,
John

Good stuff, John. I had a look through the thread. Sounds like Campral didn’t do the trick back in 2020 sadly. Can you remember what led you to drink again back then? I don’t mean analyse it to the nth degree, just curious and maybe it could help avoiding a repeat. But, hey, 100 days is brilliant.

Was an odd one for all of us. As I said a few pages back, it’s not a five-minute job to get prescribed Campral, so something must’ve kicked off in 2020 to make you drink again. I wouldn’t go analysing it, but maybe a few changes would reduce the risk of a relapse? What’s different this time might be the better question? Doing well
