Day 50 :)
Day 50 :)
Da Da! 50 days without a brutal hangover!
It is getting slightly easier,I still think about alcohol every day virtually..especially about 6pm but it is quickly put back in its box.
Going through period of feeling a bit rough again after the pick clouds at beginning but still very committed,on I go !
Thank you SR for all the support, without this I would have failed i am certain
have a lovely day all

Sounds like all is going to plan, Rainy. The feelings sound normal.
On my day 55, I had to take my mum to hospital in central London semi-urgently, which was a logistical nightmare. I was inches from caving in, but downed a couple of alcohol free beers instead, and that did the trick. Maybe if this happened earlier on in my sobriety, the temptation to drink could’ve been too great. The fact I had 50+ days under my belt meant the cravings were that tiny bit less.
I didn’t cave in, and I’m now on 19 months. No reason why you can’t stop for good now. Rainy.

Congrats on 50 days!!! That daily thinking about alcohol starts to fade as more time goes on, then one day you will realize you can't remember the last time you thought about drinking.
Keep up the great work!
