Thought I’d join this month still looking for my day 1! Currently reading alcohol lied to me by Craig beck apparently by the end I won’t want to drink no will power involved??!! Currently on chapter 6. He talks a lot about how it’s a poison which we know and how society accepts this poison. Addictive drug yet in society it’s fine??!! You use alcohol recreationally it’s fine you use heroine recreationally nope! How society sees this drug as fine?! Hope by end of the book I feel yes I don’t want to drink! No will power!!??? Freein kindle if you have amazon prime! X
I’m going to join and hope this is my permanent class home. I’ve been in too many, but I will never give up. Just finished day 1 and looking forward to waking up without a hangover on Saturday morning.
Dee and Suze, you are so appreciated. Thanks for caring about all the people who post here.

yep awesome username strong woman who can cope with change!!! To all the non whovians- just watch it! Doctor who! Start at 9! Don’t start with the classics I grew up on - the females are pathetic!!! Wish never rewatched any as a adult it’s like re watching original Star Trek!!! Love as a kid but now! X
it’s a nice feeling. And I don’t know what has shifted but I have less shame right now than I generally do at this stage. I think being honest with my husband and my therapist has been really helpful. I still feel desperate for recovery and I feel uncomfortable physically and emotionally but not like i’m a horrible person. Tomorrow my goal is water. I always forget to hydrate in withdrawal.
Well done to you, too!

Hi all. I'm choosing to taper down to try to avoid the worst of withdrawal symptoms. So, Tuesday will be my day one.

I was so very lost.....and then I wasn't anymore.....the understanding and caring from everyone in the class, and the incredible support and wisdom from Dee saved me.
Getting the chance to give a little of that back is a massive blessing for me. ❤️
So happy for you daring Jewel....day 1 done.....onwards together my friend. s xx

And I am going to take up your suggestion....I have never watched Doctor Who. I know, how is that possible?
Now I know where to start....thank you. ❤️
