200 days

Completed 200 days sober this morning.
Still have the odd craving here and there. But I’m steady for the most part.

Almost every area of my life has seen improvement.
Loneliness is a problem sometimes. Even though I have my wife and son at home, no real friends.

Aside from work, I don’t have much in terms of a social life and with the pandemic I’m more isolated than before.

I need to find a hobby or new passion I can get into to pass the time and maybe meet people.

Any suggestions? 😊

Wishing everyone a safe Weekend!

That's wonderful! :)

I poured my energy into my dogs and cats. :) Give love and get love. :) It's a win/win. :)

Awesome 200!
no friends here really to speak of. Neighbors asked if we want to drink. Not get together and talk or hang. Just drink. Seeing them means 2 days of recovery
anything get ya excited? I like to ride mountain bikes but it’s still pretty solo

200!!!

Congratulations on reaching 200 days!

Is there anything that you used to love to do before your drinking became a problem? Walking, reading, listening to music, maybe even playing a musical instrument anything like that?

Well done, Clark. I reckon the cravings go on for years unfortunately. I still have them at 500+ days, but like me I’m sure you notice they’re less often and weaker now.

You’ll have a lot more to offer now you’re clear headed and sober. Regarding social life, is it worth doing some evening courses or joining a sports club type of activity?

Thank you all for your responses. SR has been instrumental in my recovery and helps me maintain my sobriety. I feel like I know a lot of you! :)

I feel everything more acutely when I’m sober. That’s not a bad thing. Sometimes I just need someone to talk to I guess. Not necessarily about heavy issues. Just to shoot the breeze once in a while.

But I count my blessings. I have my health, my family and my job. I am grateful.

Congrats on 200!
I'm kicking around getting back into a hobby that I loved umpting years ago but it's very very expensive so I waiting to see if that itch goes away. lol
I currently go to the gym, kayaking and have started back to working on my house.
None of the above would be possible without sobriety and SR!

Loneliness is an issue for me too sometimes so I'm sympathetic. Well done on 200 days of sobriety.
