10 years sober
For a change I'm gonna heap some praise on myself. I did it. I'm the one who got up every day and diverted my attention away from having another drink. I'm genuinely proud of myself I can honestly say. And I'm going to heap some praise on SoberRecovey as well. I'm truly grateful you are here. This is where I have spent 1000's of hours of my time and it worked. I would rather be here than in a bar. I probably should spend more time in the mental health forums but I live in the Newcomers to Recovery forum. Can't remember how many times I have relived the torment of day1,2,3. It's frightening, terrible, but I briefly do it and it's kept me from drinking all these years I love you all and thank you for being here. Snoochies
