90 days

Been quite a while since I posted here, but ive been reading the forum now and then.
I Havent drank for 90 days now.
Also gave up caffeine for about 2 months but I love coffee too much so I started drinking it again.
Ive been exercising 5 days a week and lost a bit of weight. Feeling good.
All of this has been a lot easier due to lockdown and the pubs being closed. Ive got no desire to go to the pubs now theyre starting to open up again, but I know I'll be tempted to over the summer at some point.
Working from home has really helped keep my stress levels down.
Ive got a lot to be thankful for and I try to remind myself of this everyday.
Thanks for listening.

Thanks Brighterday.
This is the longest sober stretch in over 6 years I think.
I really feel like I've accomplished something

From my own experience of being diagnosed with a fatty liver to having no detectable fat just months later (not drinking obviously), definitely yes! The liver’s awesome if we let it do its job. Ninety days is even more awesome. Please please please keep on like this. You’ll be so happy you did 👍

Well done. 90 days...!

I could never give up the coffee either, that's still with me.

Strengthen the plan for the temptation you've spotted - that's my small observation.

You sound like you're in an excellent place.

I can take or leave coffee, but I don’t see any problems with it as long as sleep’s unaffected and it’s not taken with a load of sugar and cream. There are actually studies showing coffee, all types whether it be the finest beans or the cheapest instant, has benefits to a damaged liver. It’s not going to help a drinker, but for an ex-drinker, drink up (coffee).
