Yep. I got yelled at for not being angry enough and trying to calm him down when a store messed up our order even though after we got back I called got the delivery fee taken out calmly...no need to yell at people that had nothing to do with it. So yes, I shouldn't be drinking, life is so much more but F***, how can I do it in this?

Your spouse? I agree with you though, no point in yelling especially if it is at a person who had nothing to do with the mistake. How can you do what in what?

Yes and no Dee, i'm still working through the program but yesterday I got blackout drunk, I know exactly what my trigger was in hindsight but I didn't recognize it as it was coming. It's no excuse, I will do better. I really do hate this hangover feeling

Sounds like more "no" than "yes" Orchid. Blackout drunk yesterday sounds awful and I'm sure this morning is terrible. Drinking, being drunk and being hungover completely deprive you of your abilities to make changes in your life.

Stick with it Orchid....keep learning and gather the tools you need so you can stop drinking and have the life you want.

I get blackout drunk every single time I drink and I remember the hangovers well. It's so much better waking up with a clear head and knowing what you did the night before. Take care of yourself and keep posting

I’m 21 days tomorrow. Feel great. If you need help we are here for you. I drank on and off, mostly on. For 40 years! If I can do it anyone can.

Thank you Gabe & Khorhey, I need to be on here more right now, I just got over feeling like crap and now i'm craving a 'light' hard seltzer... I mean what!!!?? I'm not going to drink because I know that will literally be the stupidest thing I could do today but my goodness this thing has a hold on me...I still haven't found my car keys, dl and debit card and here is my mouth acting like pavlov's dogs at the mere thought of a drink.

The first few days are brutal. The last few times I detoxed it took me a a month to feel somewhat normal. Booze is an easy fix. But very temporary unless you keep drinking. And that ends badly.

So fight through it. And as someone on here said once you feel decent again treat sobriety as a valuable commodity. One that you fought for and earned. And something you don’t want to give up.

Thanks for calling me out on that Max haha, well I just came from a walk, i'm actually pretty happy despite everything, I have just decided to be happy and something changed in me, i'm just not worrying about what I cannot change and accepting facts as facts. And now i'm thinking if such a decision and changed my life in such a way, I can make the same about drinking.

It's mindfulness and it is something new in my sobriety tool belt. Glad you are feeling good!
