BABM, I hope you read SR when you awake and find that kindness within, and apply it to yourself, to begin a Day 1. You deserve so much better than the pain caused by alcohol. Are you still connected to AA, can you phone someone you trust?
BABM, let us know what is going on. The good, the bad, the indifferent, whatever is going on. Even if you don't think much of yourself at the moment, think of the people on here who care about you. Posting will help to get you out of self.
In one of my many attempts at stopping, I called a friend in desperation. In our conversation, it came out that I was at home alone. My friend screamed at me "Get out of the house. You are in there with a killer!". Truer words have never been spoken. Let people in. There is strength in numbers.
A sad but very real footnote is that my friend who helped me; at one point, after a few years, he stopped letting people in. He went back out and died from his disease. He didn't have to.
