I nearly got run over by an electric scooter this evening, it would have been my fault as I wasn't looking.

This might be a solution:-

Thanks Kaily, May be difficult for sightless people. I guess the guide dog would be trained for sight as well as sound.

My wife unknowingly tried to pet someone's service dog once and was scolded.

I think the birds were Carolina wrens.

Getting hospitalized for being run over by an electric scooter would be bad because you wouldn't be able to brag about it.

Sao and Kaily - great videos. Electric cars and hybrid vehicles really need those noises. I had a hybrid for close to 15 years and I had to really look out for people. It was on the news not long ago where a family suffered carbon monoxide poisoning from failing to turn off the engine of their hybrid vehicle after entering the garage. The car is totally silent when put into PARK. I think that at least one family member died.

Good to see you, anxiousrock, Lexie and Tasty. Stick around.

Happy Saturday to all.

Some good ideas in that video Kaily. Finding a trombonist at short notice can be tricky.

It would not be the most glamorous accident Cityboy that's for sure although still an improvement on 90s boy band East 17's lead singer who managed to run himself over with his own car WHILST HE WAS DRIVING IT. He opened the door to be sick an fell out (so he said) He was badly hurt at the time but made a full recovery so we are allowed to laugh.

I wonder if the Druids were allowed at Stonehenge this year? A socially distanced orgy doesn't sound like it would be worth getting up before dawn for (I'm assuming that's what they normally do)

This is my 5th weekend sober!
Today I did some shopping and some cleaning. Tomorrow is more trying to organise clothes and get rid of things that are just not being used. Today I've had the dog out on walks and I'm trying a new recipe tomorrow for lunches next week. Feeling good and relaxed at present, had some herbal tea and tomorrow is.my day 35 so I've a lot to be happy about:-)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Good evening weekenders,

Thanks Mags once again for the thread - I'm in! It is a special weekend indeed to be sober. It's nearly midnight here and the rain is pouring down outside. I have spent the day cleaning, cooking, working and talking to my family. All good stuff and keeping in balance with my recovery. Not much chance of going out to greet the dawn tomorrow though. My thoughts lately have been turning to long lost friends and the possibilities of getting back in touch. Before I start my new job I think I'll take a little time to write to some of them as see.

Happy belated birthday MLD. Good to see you here Zombie, Tatsy, and Lixie. Congrats Mamatembo on your 11th week - great stuff!

Best wishes to all - keep up the good work. Forwards.

Morning Weekenders

Zombie, congratulations on your 5th sober weekend.

Great photos Andy and Willow. I guess Game of Thrones had to get in somewhere, Andy.

Saou, there was no one allowed at Stonehenge but they English Heritage did live transmission last night and this morning. Sadly it was too cloudy to see the sunrise over the stones.

Hi Forwards, it’s heavy rain here this morning, I think we’ve got it on and off all weekend. Heatwave next week though....Apparently.

I’m all set for a Sober Sunday. Never tire of no hangovers.

Take care, Be Safe. xx
