thanks dee for the new month thread x
guess i am in again, new day new month, lets see what i can do this month as last month went south with losing pooch and this month i have a new gson going to be born in maybe 3 wks but may be before that. so i better get my head into gear and start working on some tactics on getting sober and saving money. so day 1 saving £7 and plan of action is to plant more plants before the weather changes in a couple of days and also get some walking done in the evening if i start to crave, or maybe just sleep will have to see how i am. xx
look forward to seeing others joining in and see your posts x

Think I will join this group.
I’m in a strange place at present and have been popping in here over the last few weeks to have a read.
I suddenly and out of no where quit drinking and sugar exactly 31 days ago. I normally come here, tail between legs, after a period of weekend binging when I’m concerned about my health and well-being if I don’t stop.
This time I just got up hungover and told my wife I wanted to stop. For some reason sugar got tied in as well. I’ve been cravings free so far, which is also remarkable though I am drinking one non-alcoholic drink with my evening meal.
Usually when I quit I get the “floating on a cloud of happiness feeling“ this time though I’m pretty much neutral, no ups and no downs.
ive been doing well and drinking (or eating sugar) hasn’t crossed my mind so I’m not sure if posting will change that but I’ll see how it goes.

It's gone by fast! In hindsight of course. I have definitely had my shaky periods of time. I think the monthly thread is very helpful. I just want to focus on each day, but getting through a whole calendar month definitely helped my confidence.
