No experience from inpatient rehab my self but it can go either way. Can you maybe encourage her to try a meeting? Maybe NA? Maybe hearing from others about their own recovery will spark some sort of competitiveness and she will want it.
I always found my self comparing my sobriety to people who had been sober for years and wishing I could be like them one day. Now I’m right on track and feel like I am one of the ones who someone else may look at and want what I have.
