I don't like the aesthetic of Sober Recovery Desktop. It's all bold and I can't thank anyone. I've been using it for the past few days to make posts, but I am switching to New Carbon (the blue one) to see what my posts look like.

I've started seeing some strange characters appearing on the board, things like posts with the character  appearing a number of times. I'm not sure if that's a random additional letter or if it's meant to be something else.

Strangely the two members where I'm seeing this character both signed up in February 2013 (Tick and BarbieKen). Very strange unless it's a pure co-incidence.

Its simply a sign the techies have more work to do - its not a mistake or anything harmful.
Its probably marking a space or something simple like that - but for various reasons, the  symbol is being used instead.

Its not connected with anyones sign up date or where they post or anything like that

Switching to another skin will prob fix it if it bothers anyone.

I've tried all the skins and the character is still appearing. It doesn't bother me but I thought it was a bit spooky that the only two posters whose posts I was seeing the  symbol both registered in February 2013! Perhaps they are posting using a specific browser or on a specific make of smart / mobile phone.

There's a difference in the way Carbon is working in diff browsers perhaps?

PS. The A and double AA thingys are caused by hitting the space bar and leaving a space that the formatting can't handle right now.

Robbie, I think you've been reading maybe a few too many conspiracy theorists.

I agree with Venus - the different skins act in different ways on different browsers.

NextGen is working perfectly well for me on Chrome from both my android and my laptop. It's always bold, but I can deal with that.

If anyone is still having issues, you might want to try clearing cookies (from History in your browser) and restart. Not sure if that's what fixed me, but it's worth a shot?

I think this is a good metaphor. It's change we can't control and may never go back to what we were used to. Life goes on; we can adjust.

Thanks for being so very responsive, SR folks. It's really cool and caring that you realize this little thing can be so upsetting to people already on edge.

At the moment, you kind of need to double space paragraphs to get a single space. I know it's a bit frustrating, but I am already used to it.

For me, no-one is annoyed with the admins or mods here. But to roll out such a poor upgrade and expect addicts who depend on this resource to just “deal with it� rages me. Sorry but it does. I’d the owners don’t understand this then they don’t understand addiction and are just trying to scalp traffic and clicks with no real care for us. Will stop now as usual if I am too honest I will get banned, that’s how it works here...
