500 Days
And counting. I feel blessed that I have had and continue to have this second chance. I don't post too much but pop in every now and then. I believe I posted back in November about what life had in store for me, but the quick update is that life is moving forward.
My Grandfather unfortunately passed away in December which made for a rough holiday season.
I came face to face with one family member who came to my home for Christmas Eve and didn't respect my sobriety so much (got fall down drunk/drama mode and sent me into to an unexpected panic with no good escape route). The person has been informed that they are no longer allowed to bring alcohol to my home (which had been the standing rule, you can bring it for yourself and take it with you when you leave).
The chimney remains busted as the plan had been to get another quote in the spring but that is on hold for obvious reasons.
Thankfully I held firmly to my commitment and some good things were right around the corner.
My relationship with my wife remains strong and continues to get stronger, I'm not sure how I could have done any of this without her support.
I have a new job (was there a whole 3 days before the company went to stay at home but luckily I can telecommute).
And finally I added a new fur baby to may family, meet Obi (yes short for Obi-wan Kenobi because I'm a giant nerd).
