I don't have that. I knew it would work, but it's just not something I keep around. I don't want to go to the store for just one thing right now.
It's OK, I found something else I can bake today instead.

Re: Beach Barbecue Sober weekend - Weekenders 24 - 27 April 2020

I'm making cookies that use coconut flour, because I have a bunch of it, and I want to hang onto the wheat flour I have for making bread. It's scarce around here still. I snagged some yeast early on and I'm glad I did, because it's been sold out in the stores I go to ever since the day I got mine. So fat I haven't used any but I do need to make sandwich buns soon.

Here are the cookies I'm going to make:

Captain our Captain....are we moored safely? Just checking.
We might do a disco night tonight....don't want to rock the boat, or accidentally shift the anchor. Some of us might have put on a few pounds during this voyage.... s

Manta, step away from the Monday Happy Hour.

It's kind of a pattern, right?

Oooooooo YES YES YES.....and where is that Dragon? And his band? He can add them remotely and we will have an incredible night. (No clue what it will sound like, this is all new for me, have never ever heard a Uke before Dragon educated me).

Disco Ukulele?

Is that a thing? Well, it will be after tonight.

Morning all.
Manta was one of my classmates a few years ago, so I hope she will decide to come back and be OK.
Glad you are feeling better Mags.
I am offering everyone a virtual taste of yesterday‘s ciabatta breads. Using a new photo posting app so I hope this works.

Re: Beach Barbecue Sober weekend - Weekenders 24 - 27 April 2020

Morning all,
Lovely looking bread Captain, I could do with some of that right now. Feeling very hungry in fact I am always hungry.

Not much news here, its raining. Going shopping shortly and got to pick up my Dad's medication. He is still in limbo with his on going failing health issues. I don't know whether he will be called to hospital for scans or not.

Had some nasty cravings the last few days which are very annoying.

Re: Beach Barbecue Sober weekend - Weekenders 24 - 27 April 2020

It's always good to see home baked bread.ÂÂÂÂÂ There is something theraputic in cooking and baking. Just another tool in ze box.
I went for a 10k plod in the drizzle this morning. The endorphines have me feeling good.
How's talking Alfie going Kaily ?
Suze congratulations on 5.5 years. Your an example...
Mags glad you feel better today...ÂÂ
I had never heard of coconut flour. Must check it out..
Sao sometimes a road trip is enjoyable. Some music and coffee (and the boss's bentley)
My mum got the all clear for covid 19. After a battery of tests and diagnostic they told her she has nerve problems. (which could mean about anything I suppose)
Dont know what happened with Manta but no doubt she was suffering and in alot of distress. Lets hope she gets well.
My sober app says 40 days. The Last few have not been easy but pushing on through. I have a ritual since the 19th of march of when the av and craving comes along rather than walking around in circles waiting for it to go away I either try meditation with youtube, go running or jump into the pool. I jumped into the pool on 20th march and it was like a cryotherapy session but I felt great after.. I suppose everyone has to find their coping mechanisms..

Re: Beach Barbecue Sober weekend - Weekenders 24 - 27 April 2020

morning all.ÂÂ grey & rainy here today.ÂÂ
that bread looks amazing Captain.ÂÂ I always think there's something a bit special about cooking with a living thing like yeast.ÂÂ I won't mention what else yeast can be used to make. ÂÂ my sourdough starter-making experiment isn't going terribly well - I'm going to have to google some unleaven bread recipes to get through my 10kg of flour if it doesn't work.

hope you're doing okay this morning Manta & that you come back on the forum.ÂÂ go back & look at your posts from last week's thread about always getting back up when you fall. x

edit: still getting spurious characters in posts I see
