Exclamation A Reminder

Hey Everyone,

I get it that many of us are feeling stressed and experiencing cabin-fever. We don't know what is going to happen with the Pandemic or how we will navigate life once things open up.

But, making life more difficult for Dee, me and the other Mods is SO unnecessary. Dee and I are already working hard on trying to keep things running smoothly here during the upgrade issues we're having.

Can you please stop and think for a second before you post something that is meant to cause problems for other members or for Dee and I?

Re: A Reminder

Thanks Anna.

I know it's hard with pandemics, economics, and the site being a little wonky still - people are scared and angry and fed up - but lets just try and pull together and remember what we're here for - recovery

Re: A Reminder

Anna and Dee, you're doing wonderful jobs, despite having (no doubt) your own worries. I'm really sorry that people are acting out on the forums. The forums are supposed to be, and have always been (for me) a warm and helpful place.

Re: A Reminder

You guys rock - but the last few days especially have been rough going and long hours ,
I'm on edge - I know it - but I hope the worst of the site problems are behind us.

Re: A Reminder

I’ve been visiting this corner of the interwebs for over 6 yrs and I have to say that the Mods here are top notch. If people are trying their patience, then they must be really trying. SR is a great community, let’s tighten up(and I guess lighten up)

Yes, you guys DO rock.
And, for me anyways, things on the website are better now. I hope everyone else finds the same thing.

I am all good here and grateful for SR. Small issues to deal with....meh....a nice challenge is all.....we are so blessed to have each other.....whatever the site issues, we can still talk to each other and be here for each other. And soon it will all be rectified. Aren't we lucky? Not everything is that easy these days. s

Re: A Reminder

When I am stressed out I like to talk about it too. I let it fly that my beloved SR was under attack by some unknown hacker force. I was told to be patient.

As the day it long.

I imagine there is a security issue or something. Identity theft or something. Maybe stealing our credit card numbers?

I appreciate this effort.

I love this site and would hate to have to go somewhere else to get part of my dopamine fix from something other that being a fat drunk. Hopefully things work out for SR.

I am a huge fan of specifically calling the problem out privately. I don't like to be publicly embarrassed and so I don't do it to folks.

Anymore, I don't even say anything because it always seems to be misunderstood, offend someone, or otherwise cause more of a problem while not fixing my intended issue.

It recently happened at work and I just decided that was it.....let them fall on their face from now and forever. I am over it.

I am about to hit submit and I hope I don't have too many typos.

Thanks.

The quoted message above hopefully will cause less of catastrophe. Sorry the site would not let me clean up the original message.

Love.

no hacking, no.computer virus, no stealing of credit cards details (!) D122y -
just an upgrade that caused some unforeseen problems.

I tried to fix it, but the upgrade process would not let me.

Does the site ask for credit card / donations somewhere? I assumed the chat forums were free and here to stimulate site activity / revenue for the advertisers.

Re: A Reminder

To be honest I'm not sure why credit cards were bought up.

The site is 100% free throughout and geared to preserve peoples anonymity..
we have never asked for credit cards, donations or anything like that

Chat is free, the forums are free, the front page articles are free, blogs are free, the arcade games are free...
No cost whatsoever to the members, ever.
