Extended Vacation..Sailing Sober - Weekenders 17 - 20 April 2020
Midnight-
I can relate about ex's.
I gave up on revenge and now pray for them.
I would only hope that they'd do the same for me.
Well, the hog-noses technically have rear fangs that are venomous to toads which they may eat in the wild.
Other than that, I've never gotten even close to be bitten by them. Once in a while, they hiss
and puff their heads, in a comical fashion. I think the proper word is "mimicry".
They try and mimic the rattle of a rattlesnake, puff their heads as such, and make vocal noise, shaking their little tails,
Remember, I am probably the only person you know of that
has a bullfrog with shark-like teeth.
LOL

I am SO SLOW....I just got it MB. What your plan was and why it's important that the snake isn't venomous. He he he. Wouldn't want our darling Midnight to get hurt while murdering ex.
Well we wouldn't.
And Hawkeye....good luck....and at first I thought you meant the farm on the boat. And that it was a metaphorical electric push mower. He he.

Welcome to WeekendersDaisybelle!
It was actually over 3 months in the end. I stayed in the bedsit/storeroom over the restaurant my older sister and brother-in-law had at the time in a part of London called Southgate. It was convenient for them as they would make me work behind the bar and the coffee machine (I was never trusted with waiting tables though) I was always one side of a bar or the other in those days.

Man, that food looks about perfect after a long scuba dive. Calories be damned, we worked for it.
I just went to the farmers market...with my little homemade mask. How I can spend $26 on vegetables is beyond me. Oh, that organic bread, eggs and milk might have something to do with it!
I should have just snagged some of that food from Mags.

Hawkeye - Good luck with the mowing.
Mags - That's quite a buffet!
Bim - Farmer markets are not closed at your place?
Hi, Sao and other shipmates.

Hi, Sao and other shipmates.
Food is considered essential...this is actually a vegetable/fruit/flowers and plants market. The farmers bring the produce and dairy and eggs, and it is sold from one till.
I feel much safer at this market than the large grocery stores. Far fewer people, and it's open-air.
In other news, I accidentally bought plant-based protein powder when I usually buy whey-based (at the other grocery store) and to be honest I'm not loving it, but at least now I know. :-|

I had no idea you use protein powder, Bim.
BTW I shifted to protein-based powder when drastically cut on diary in my regimen.
So, shipmates.
I've been thinking about some leisure activities for Saturday night.
How about if we arrange an open-air movie theatre on the deck?
I am sure our tech-savvy guys will make it work. We'll bring snacks and will enjoy a gorgeous evening and some nice movie.
Any suggestions what would be a great choice to watch?

I suppose "Castaway" would be bad form, eh, MB? Good movie for these isolation times, though.
If this goes on too long, I'll be talking to more than a soccer ball.
Re protein powder. . . I use about a scoop per day usually. It just boosts my smoothie, oatmeal or popcorn. Yes, movie popcorn with butter, cajun seasoning and vanilla whey protein powder. De-lish. I tried it last night with this plant based powder and I didn't like it...I think it's the Stevia. I don't like Stevia. The whey powder doesn't have any artificial sweetener.
The plant-based stuff will have to be straight up with water, just get it down and use it up...and don't ruin good popcorn.
Without supplementing it's too much of a battle to get in all my protein and stay within my calorie goal.
