We aren't even bothering to talk about the wk of the 4th that we usually go to the beach house. To put it as my husband said last night, if MLB has called it, what makes anyone think "everything" will be normal by July 17? Not us.
I'm sorry to hear about your cancelled honeymoon.

Oh that's another thing...I was accepted into a different Master's program which is mostly on-line, but has a trip once per semester that is required for a few days in New York. I had to defer my acceptance until 2021 because there's no way in a fiery pit of hell I'm going anywhere near the state of New York or planes/trains leaving NY even as far away as August or September. NY scares the crap out of me.

So ...after May I won't even be a grad student anymore for a year. I wonder if I can get a job at the place where I currently intern.

Please don't come to California. Thanks.

I was going to head up through the interior of British Columbia then over to Banff...camping along the way... they have shut down all the parks and campgrounds, I'm not sure if they are cracking down on backcountry camping, I know they are discouraging it as it could drain resources if they have to fly out and rescue someone...

I haven't been on holiday in over 20 years. I did have a day trip booked to Sandbanks but obviously that is cancelled.

Hearing people speak of struggling with lack of holidays, socialising etc has made me realise just how isolated, lonely and insular my life has truly become. Everyone elses lockdown lives are actually my normal life.

We were supposed to be flying to Oregon in July to visit a few colleges, and do some hiking. I have been tempted to make reservations because flights are so cheap, but I don’t think it will be safe to fly yet.

You should reach out to the school, they may be willing to allow virtual meetings due to the current situation, worth checking into.

My brother is a pilot, we didn't "cancel" out vacations plans, they were cancelled for us. No big deal actually.

We reactivated our passports and had plans to leave the country tomorrow for the first time in over ten years... I'm just grateful we got full refunds for lodging and plane tickets.

Had to laugh. To top it off, my usual weekenders for festivals and concerts ain't happening. And speaking of California, I see High Sierra Music Festival has NOT canceled for the first weekend in July. That surprises me.
