My day 7 Battle!
My day 7 Battle!
Hi all,
I read on these forums now days more than post but just thought i'd check in. I had 85 days or so then yada yada yada am on day 7. I remembered something Dee had said to me before about always posting not just reading if you are about to drink drug etc. So made myself a promise that I would always do that first. By the time I even thought about that though I was in my car outside the liquor store with no phone. Must have sat there for nearly an hour with the back and forth between Av/ego or whatever and "myself". Happy to say I drove back home and cravings have disappeared. For anyone whos back on the wagon recently after any length of sober time this is proof that you don't lose the time you had sober. If I had been at the stage of driving to a liquor store after even 3 months sober I would have caved and drank very quickly. So to everyone in the early stages of recovery we can do this let's go!
