We have added some bad stuff. Things not normally eaten:
Double stuffed oreos
Doritos
Dove chocolates
Raspberry coffee cake
Pizza
Brownie batter Ice cream
Bowls of cereal with almond milk. Not too bad, but too much.
We were discussing this today. The news says people with a high BMI are more likely to have severe complications from covid. So why are we trying to gain weight and increase our risk? And what's going to happen when the work attire comes back out?
Our pets are also in trouble. Treats are going fast, food cans are being popped open in a quantity on par with the cans of soda I forgot to mention above.
We are all in dietary trouble at my house.

We are into our third week of lockdown now, and I have eaten five banana breads, two lemon drizzle cakes and a tray of brownies all to myself! I don't even make cakes usually so I'm not sure what that's all about. Anyway I seem to have got it out of my system and no longer want any cake - I will stick to my usual addiction of pots and pots of tea!
I don't usually eat sweets but have developed a yearning. Here's mine.
Dark chocolate liquorice bullets
Hot cross buns (early)
Nougat
Lint chocolate balls with creamy centres
Bread and jam
Little Easter eggs with creamy filling.

Yes, Doritos found their way back under my eaves, but one bag lasted almost two weeks so that's OK. Salted peanuts in the shell. Cheezits, which remain unopened. Lindt chocolate bars (70%). Hershey's chocolate eggs, the ones in foil.
But daily green tea and so a few polyphenols for good measure.
As for entrees, Cincinnati chili! I grew up on that and oh my it's good.
Moderation in all things as they say...except for the elephant in the room of course. No moderation for that one!

I just stocked up on snacks yesterday. Here are my current favorites:
deli meat and cheese rolled up
olives
ramen eggs
string cheese
beef jerky
pistachios
pork rinds
raw veggies with cream cheese
I’m mostly sticking with keto, so lots of protein and fat. Also way too much salt, but oh well. Pobody’s nerfect.

Ben & Jerry Chunky Monkey or

My sweet tooth has reared its head big time. I was doing pretty well limiting myself to one little square of dark chocolate per day and maybe one serving of ice cream per week before all this. Well, I've gone a little nuts. I have been buying jellybeans, Hershey's Miniature bars in bags, mini tootsie rolls in bags. I thought by sort of hiding them, and the fact that they are small things I could discipline myself to only have a few a couple of times a day. But no. Way too easy to get carried away while I'm home all day. But here's the alternative for me - I quit smoking a little over 8 months ago. It was harder for me than quitting drinking was. I worked on it for a couple of years before I was able to do it. When all this ramped up, I wanted so badly to smoke. Which would be crazy! HELLO - respiratory illness!!! That's where the candy came in. I'm not smoking, but I'm on my way to the COVID-19 pounds if I don't get control of this. So after Easter and the candy is gone, I'll switch to carrots and celery, nuts, cheese. I really do like those things as snacks and I'll be ok as long as there isn't candy in the house and I'm not going to the store except once a week maybe, if even that.
Found the recipe in an Ayurveda cookbook in January, it's my personal Corona comforter these days:
Consists only of almonds, maple syrup, cocos oil, cocoa, dates and figs, no refined sugar, no-nonsense.
Nutritious, high-calorie, yummy like the sin.

I just enjoyed 1/2 of an individual chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream.
Here is the recipe that makes 4. I break it down for 1 or 2 cakes at a time for my husband and myself.
Molten Chocolate Lava Cake (Makes 4)
6 oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
6 oz. butter
4 eggs
3 oz. sugar
2 oz. all-purpose flour
1. Melt chocolate and butter together.
2. Mix eggs and sugar together, whisking until well combined, then add the flour.
3. Add egg mix to the melted chocolate/butter mixture.
4. Pour into four 8 oz. ramekins (lightly sprayed with oil).
5. Bake at 390* for 14 minutes, or until desired doneness.
When you spoon some out, the middle is like lava and oh so yummy.
This is great served with vanilla ice cream.
I'm on Day 8, so I'm still craving carbs and giving in to every delicious one.
