I so appreciate your honesty in sharing about your initial fears.

I had a great deal of fear and anxiety at the outset, and trouble sleeping. Now I'm trying to find balance between acknowledging my fear and leaning into my faith.

It must mean it's properly sunk in that booze or anything else really can't help and is a terrible idea. I'm sure we all know that intellectually, but it's different I guess from feeling and thinking it automatically, like you automatically know putting your hand on the oven hob won't make things cook faster

I'm not there yet but hopefully we're all on that path.

Many congrats on 13 years Dee! And good job fighting that fear head-on; anxiety can be a tough adversary but we when we confront it sober we become even tougher.

13 years! That’s amazing, congratulations Dee! Well done for realising your fear and managing it rather than letting it manage you. You’ll come out of this experience wiser and more resilient than when you went in.
