I never felt like I fit in anywhere, that I was part of, that I belonged. That is a big part of why I drank.
I felt the same way in AA...until I worked the twelve steps of AA. When I did, those feelings disappeared.
No one can make me feel like I belong no matter whether or how much they try. That can only come from inside. It came when I began to get comfortable with myself by working the twelve steps.
Today I am comfortable with just being me. I found me, in AA.
AA was the portal for changing my life.
