Oh yeah....sometimes the nice glass is everything.
We can use the lovely stuff with juice or soda water or cranberry juice.
I have lovely glasses I use for water. xx

I'll have to do the same, because other than rum, water has always been my drink of choice. Thanks for the idea.

The end of day 12 coming to a close....it’s been a few very busy days....hope to log in more frequently and do more reading posts starting tomorrow. Doing well, some challenges, but loving working from home. Not sure I ever want to go back to the office. Way less stress!!!

So, my wife and I take a 3 mile walk right before sunrise and another 2-3 mile walk right before sunset. The walk at night is perfect because that is about when I would start drinking. Time for a healthy habit to replace the unhealthy one. Off to bed soon as am still trying to sleep a solid night without waking up. I guess this makes up for all the nights I passed out for 8 hours. Even the broken up sleep is way more refreshing than passing out.

Morning Otter - nice to hear from you. Congrats on 12 days

Lovely sunny morning, I'm awake early but slept well.

I'm on four weeks today (as of about 7pm, the last drink I had) but please don't congratulate me..save it until tomorrow when I'm at one month! 27th Feb was my last drink and, because I intend this to be a forever thing, I'm moving to counting months instead of weeks/days (may count/mark them too if I feel like it ).

Have a great day people and pel I look forward to hearing from you, wishing you well today buddy

Hahaha - you're going to have to wait !!

Time is a funny thing...days can seem long and hard work but looking back the month seems to have gone by quickly! You'll be at a month in no time if you get through today

Good morning/evening everyone.

Things are back to normal on my end, but I'd like to apologize to all. That's not like me, except when...

Anyway, congrats to all reaching those milestones! I guess I'm in last place again, but I'm not out. I really want to be sober.

Make it a good day everyone. I'm proud of all of you.

Going on Day 16. I am sleeping well, just not st the right time. Falling asleep at 6am usually and waking up around 2 or 3pm. I suppose it doesn't matter when I sleep since I am pretty much stuck in my apartment anyway.

I can't imagine another 3 months of this shutdown. I suppose it's much better than having to go off to fight a distant war however.
My grandparents would probably tell me to stop whining!

Hang in there FF. Think of the regret later. I don't want you going through the same thing I did the other day. Stay strong. Get up and do anything to take your mind off of it. You can get through it.

Congrats on two weeks. Keep going.

Be, I'll try to hold back the congrats until you announce an official month, but that's wonderful!

Pelagic, I'm glad it's a new day for you.

WL, Congrats on Day 16. Fantastic!

FF, I can't wait to hear you got through this wave.

I hope you find it easier going as time goes on FF and WL I did

It may sound counter intuitive but I used posting here, and posting to others as a way to not think about how much I wanted to drink.

It worked for me.

Thanks for all this. I'll be staying closer to SR from here on out. I even composed a post the other day to be accountable, but deleted it and came up with a stupid excuse to go out: we have three vehicles, one of which hadn't been driven in weeks. I thought, well the battery will die if it doesn't get out. What a lame excuse; I could put a trickle charger on it. My AV just tricked me and out I go. Well, mostly I just lied to myself. 6 liters of crap wine later...

Jim Jarmusch has always been a favorite filmmaker of mine. I watched *Broken Flowers* last night and it's kind of a sad movie but I can recommend it. I'll watch Bill Murray in anything he does.

Today, I'll switch to Wes Anderson, another favorite. Maybe *Moonrise Kingdom* which is just too cute. I love it, and it's an optimistic outlook.

A nice day weatherwise so I'm going out for a long walk later. Plenty of space around here so I don't have to worry about the virus.

Wishing you all a great day!
