Back again

Was sober for 5 years in part because of the wonderful support system here. Back again after 8 years of increasingly getting worse. Alcohol and drug addiction has consumed me leading to legal trouble, failed relationships, putting my family through hell and wondering how the heck I'm still alive after all the risky behaviors. Currently in an IOP program addressing Trauma, mental health and addiction. Also attending AA. I'm ready to make Sober Recovery part of my support system once again. Thanks all ❤ day 7 alcohol and substance free.

Sr has become a valuable recovery lifeline for
me and many others who use this place on a daily
bases to stay connected.

It is when we let go of our lifelines and fly solo
without any kind of support, that folks usually
crash and burn.

We all have good days and bad days. That's just
part of life. But there is nothing in life so so bad
that drinking or drugging will make it better. Right?

Continue to learn all that you can and continue
to grow in recovery using all the tools and knowledge
taught to you to incorporate in all areas of your
life to achieve a successful, healthy, happy way
of life for yrs to come.

There is an abundant amount of support from
many here who have found success in their own
recovery lives and there are many we continue
to learn from everyday.

Support and care sent your way.

Toomutch - I was thinking about you a few days ago - very glad to see you back & sober again. I did the same thing - went back out after a few years & it was worse than ever. The chaos I caused was hard to recover from, but we can do it. Congrats on your 7 days sober.

Thanks for sharing this. Nice to see someone who is also on day 7, though I guess technically you are on Day 8 now. How is it? What can I expect on my Day 8? I'll try and keep up with you- stay strong!
