It’s Friday morning here and I have a busy workday. I was planning going hiking tomorrow but the forecast is rain and thunderstorms so I’m not sure at this stage.....
There’s a charity fundraiser that I have to go to this weekend and I can’t get out of. Everyone will be trying to ply everyone else with drinks to raise money. I’m going to have to be extra vigilant this weekend after my stuff up last weekend. I will have to ensure a soft drink in my hand constantly...

Thanks Mags for the usual great start, and well done on shotgun Be.
I’m in and ready to get rolling on Spring.
Off to the lake and some puppy cuddles and sunshine tomorrow.

The lake used to be one of my most dangerous AV trigger-spots but I’m making good progress on reconditioning my responses to sober thoughts and things each time I am there now.

We can change and build a life free of alcohol

Morning Weekenders
Welcome caretaker.
Have a great 270th Sao.

Hawkeye I agree "We can change and build a life free of alcohol"

So I've still got a hole in my ceiling. The solar panel company EDF ENR are sending a team on monday to repair the leaks. Apparently I'm not the only one who has had problems. And EDF are in court with the maker of the insulating membrane. Once the leaks are fixed they will give me a date for coming back to take off all 16 panels and replace the membrane with a zinc or alu layer... Battle on.

Morning Weekenders

Saou interesting about how we used to feel ‘I need a drink to take myself away’ . Time does help booze not to be our ‘go to’ .

Willow, being prepared with your fruit juices is good and try to remember what caused your hiccup last week and be ready if it rears up again. I hope you can enjoy your weekend too.

Icy here this morning but the sun has come out.

See you later, have a good day. xx

It is the most beautiful morning here. Frosty and cold but clear blue skies and air that frosts your lungs as you breathe in

It’s a cancer fundraiser being organised by a good friend who’s fighting cancer, and I promised I would go. But I’m going to be the designated driver and will only drink soft drinks

Friday night here and testing out some new ginger cordial with our soda stream machine. Yummm! And next I’ll add lemon and see how that goes

Good day Friday, weekenders.

Jr is up and at 'em early, continuing a highly scheduled couple of weeks work project that started Wednesday, so I'll get in a post now, then prolly not be seeing much of SobeRlandia until tomorrow.

Mild winter wanes, yay.
Though some snow may show tonight
here in New England.

Quiz: What kind of flower is this?

Hint: Not shot in jr's backyard. More like the Mexican mountains -- Veracruz state -- coffee and banana country.

JR - I believe that is some sort of ginger, or related to that family. I know it's called heliconia. Lots and lots of them in the tropics. Gorgeous.

Strength to you, Willow. I understand why you have to go to the fundraiser. Just be careful.

I think it's a Triffid!

Good to see you Leigh.

Good luck with your Scrabble tournament Snoozy! I have just inadvertently eaten a line of Scrabble tiles. My next bowel movement could spell disaster.
