Hi,
Have been lurking around and decided to post.
A bit scary as I am not an experienced poster. But like the program says, progress not perfection.
It's a nice feeling to be able to seek out similar situations here and find some possible solutions. Most of my issues relate to me not doing the work to the level I know can be done.
Thanks to all who help each other in recovery here.

Welcome MagBob!
I wouldn't be at all concerned about not being an experienced poster - this forum is my first 'posting place' so came in a novice. Having an outlet to be completely honest and support to reach your goal is far more important than the gift of the written gab, and besides, your first post was great! Keep posting!

Welcome MagBob - it's so good to have you with us. I felt all alone until I came here. Reading the stories & eventually posting about what I'd been through really helped. Being able to be honest with those who truly understand lessened the anxiety I was feeling. No one else in my life had a problem with alcohol - everyone was a social drinker. Here at SR we can support each other with encouragement & no judgment. Welcome!

I too was a newbie to posting online. I wouldn’t be sober if it wasn’t for the people here. I have a very good support system in real life but nobody can possibly know my situation simply because they aren’t living it. Everyone here knows exactly what I’m going through. This site is incredibly therapeutic.
