10 months.
10 months today. I took one of the hardest journeys someone can take. Accepting I was not in control, and flew to a rehab facility in Utah. Unfortunately, I have talked to a few of my comrades there, who have since fell off the wagon and started drinking again. It truly shows the amount of control this **** has on you. I will always be an alcoholic, and will always be in recovery from alcohol. I can’t predict the future, but I can say...”I’m not drinking today.”
For those battling...keep taking it one day at a time and remember, you never “got this”. Some days will be far worse than others, but as long as you remain sober...you will have many more good days.

Congratulations on ten months, that's awesome. And great post.
I'm over eleven years sober and you described me to a "T".
I'll always be an alcoholic, too.
Thanks for your post as a reminder. You describe me perfectly.
Many more sober days to you. One day at a time.

This is an all too common story we hear about rehab. People need to understand they are not rehabilitated in rehab. They are dried out. The real work starts after they are out.
