I never felt alone after joining SR. Everyone here understands what you're going through & we have plenty of encouragement/support to offer. I immediately felt less anxious after reading some of the posts & suggestions.

Rumble, hello and welcome to this incredibly supportive site. I've been here for 6 days, I check in several times a day, and I end my sessions feeling heard, understood, and supported. I learn a great deal. There is no judgment here. My big breakthrough moment was the first time I felt a craving, I posted here instead of driving to the liquor store. It was an immediate release of that tension that surrounds a decision to drink or not. Do that, and you are on your way!

It can seem an insurmountable task to give up your addiction but look around you on this forum.....we have ALL been right where you are today, taking that first step.
Let me tell you that SR is what SAVED me every time! Every time I drove to the store, ready to go in and buy my beer I found enough strength to post here and there was ALWAYS someone ready to talk me down and eventually I felt Better, then I felt GREAT, then I had more self-confidence, then I realized LIFE CAN BE LIVED TO THE FULLEST SOBER! Then I realized I had CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!
I have never met anyone from SR in PERSON but I have many many FRIENDS that I count on. We are IN THIS TOGETHER!!!!
Be strong, it gets easier, and it gets BETTER, then it gets to be the BEST THING YOU EVER DID FOR YOURSELF!!!
