Day 10 and going strong!!!

I'm feeling alot better than I was a week ago, that's for sure! Sleeping better, eating better. Now I just have this terrible brain fog, its beyond noticeable. Luckily, my husband is very understanding. Now, comes the weekend, which I think might be hard. I cant drink anyway, but I'm sure I'll be thinking about it. I've been trying to focus on the positives of quitting drinking and stop lamenting about what I'm "losing out on" which is nothing but hangovers, broken promises and shame. I can do this!!!

I will not drink today!

Congrats Jen!!

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by getting sober.
Seriously

Wonderful to read! Don't look back and keep strong. And don't be afraid of the weekend, reward yourself with something new, hang out at a spa until 11 pm or do something similar. Your body will love it!

Well done, take care! :o)

Nice job on 10 days! Weekends are tough in early sobriety. No way around it. Just think of the feeling you will have Sunday night when you go to bed sober. That helps me.

Congratulations!

10 days is great RHJ!!! I try to stay away from the deprivation model. That approach causes me to feel like I'm missing out or that I am not a part of things anymore. We can drink any time we want RHJ. We simply choose not to. We don't drink anymore, we are not missing out and we are still a part of things.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Jen and congratulations on 10 days.

Maybe you could plan something different and enjoyable this weekend to try to distract yourself from thinking about drinking?
