Getting a health check today

I'm going for a full health check this afternoon as have to for my bipolar medication. I'm going to be completely honest about my relapse at weekend am scared of blood results etc, but i need to know !!!

Yes tell them everything, good luck hopefully your results will be ok!

Yes, knowledge and physical evidence is liberating Tink. Your test results won't really be "bad" or "good". They will just be results. Data. That is all. Something you can wrap your arms around and work on. Good luck today and I hope you come away with some relief, hopefully from "good" news, but at the very least with the power of knowing the full situation.

Thank you both

Good luck Tinker!

That's great to hear. I'm so happy that you said you are going to be completely honest. I read posts that say people aren't honest and that concept really baffles me.

Don't be scared of the results. I understand how you are feeling though.

I was diagnosed as being Bipolar II last year, almost to the day. This stuff is awful!

Well done Tink. The honesty, I mean.

Thanks yeah it was emotional but it had to be done for me to get the best help i need and hopefully reverse any physical damage

If you don't mind me asking headeast. How have you found the last year since your bipolar diagnosis ? Do you have any tips on managing it ? The hyper episodes really scare me as thats when i seem to go on a huge binge

Shouldn't the meds manage it tho TB?

NicLin 01-24-2020 10:55 PM

Yes, Tink, how did it go? Hoping all is well.

Hi Dee yes i hope they will, i messed up big time by not giving them enough time and deciding to just stop taking them as i thought they were making me fat !!! 4 days later i had massive episode resulting in quitting job and being in desperation last weekend. Been taking them again for 2 days and was a big wake up to show me i need to take these meds everyday regardless, so fingers crossed they work now
