I remember that day too Mera. Thank you for posting a 'take' on on Phan Thi Kim Phuc's life today.

The photo of her as a child running burned from napalm helped put an end to the War in Vietnam. We hit the streets big time.

She contributed in the most awful way.

No child should carry that weight ever again.

Thank you, Mera. That photo (was it Time?) made a big impact on me. It is wonderful to see how she went on to not only survive, but to help others. Beautiful.

I posted this quickly yesterday without much context. But this reminded me of my recovery as one of the very best lessons I learned from my sponsor was a story in the big book about a woman who had many resentments and often drank over them. The solution was to pray for the people who had harmed or hurt her. This worked amazingly for me. The act of forgiveness was huge and helped me move forward. This woman is a shining example of that.
