Not exactly sure how this works but cant wait to get the hang of it. I've been trying to quit drinking on and off for a year. This time I am more serious than ever and am excited for the journey ahead of me
My quitting was a personal journey out of hell on earth.
I have ptsd from it and I use that to stay clean.
Quitting was the hardest and best thing I have ever done. The brain damage is permanent. The crave is for life.
I read here every day. It is like an online AA meeting. This place saved my life.
Thanks.

Everyone who is seeking relief from their addiction
has to start somewhere. Day 1 incorporating lots of
recovery tools and positive information about addiction
and recovery into your everyday life continuously
to achieve success in remaining sober for yrs to come.
It's not just learning how to remain sober, but to
also correct lots of mistakes from the past, make
amends and how to not repeat them in the long run.
Many of us here in SR have similar stories to similar
situations thru out our lives and can unite here to
share our experiences, strengths and hope with one
another and receive tremendous support, care
and understanding to help each other grow and
learn from them.
Recovery has many support systems already
in place to reach out to, whether it be here in SR
or meetings in your area, maybe thru a therapists,
or various other program out there so no one is
alone in acquiring help for our addiction.
We all can recovery from our addiction by remaining
openminded to the knowledge available and the
willingness to do whatever is necessary to use them
so we can recovery successfully and healthier in
all areas of our lives.
I'm sending my support like many have already
towards your way. Welcome and keep coming
back.
