Good morning tap.
I'm hoping today's a little better than yesterday. Sometimes that's all we can hope for, but we can receive much more if we're willing to stretch just a bit further for help.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I read them all and really appreciate the warmth and support as well as practical ideas. But I wouldn't expect anything else on SR. I'm a lot better, absolutely - though I'm still just lying about. I've got a bit of mental space again rather than everything crowding in on me.
Already I've started to put it all out of my mind like this epidode didn't happen, you know it was nothing. I always feel I'm not a genuine person. I don't mean that I'm pretending, I mean that other people seem to be more real than me. I'm a kind of interloper. Like for instance if I felt upset it wouldn't have the same value as someone else's feeling of being upset. And when it gets into whether my happiness or self respect is worth anything, then I'm in trouble. So I don't go there. Yes I've just entered the introspection maze so I'll stop right now.

You're as entitled to your feelings as anyone else is and I've no doubt they're real.

If we took a poll, I think impostor syndrome would be pretty common here.

But the mundane truth is - you're one of us Taplow - you belong here - and you're every bit as unique, special and gifted as everyone else here (Along with being as frustrating infuriating and as pig headed as the rest of us too ).
