On day 2
On day 2...still feeling rough and emotional.... 2 nights ago i fell and smashed both knees so im stuck inside on 4th floor with no elevator for the 2nd day...was going to go to a meeting today but instead im just going to spend time on here reading and doing other things to stay positive. I know the first days can be the worst and boredom is never good for me so im just going to read, call a friend, etc to kill time😫 cant wait to get over the worst and start feeling like myself again.
Thanks for reading will check back in tomorrow....

All the bad feelings will pass, and you'll be on your way to being free &
healing This misery never has to happen to you again. I'm glad you're on Day 2 and beginning your journey to a new life. Be proud.

I was on day 2 at one point. I know how you feel. Stay put there and keep working on your thoughts. Thoughts are very powerful. You are doing the right thing by engaging in positive thoughts. Sorry that you hurt your knees, hope you feel better. But use that as a good excuse to be home and strengthen your sober muscles. Watch TV, order food or make some, eat candy if you like, read a book, browse internet....Every day passes by you will feel better. You should feel proud for getting started and accomplishing 2 days. Every day counts, every moment counts. Keep working one day at a time....stay stubborn, strong and sober.

Hey Rsanchez920 - one a second note after I read few of your previous posts. I would suggest talk to a friend who will be supportive of being sober. Keep phone with you ready to call if you see withdrawal symptoms. I would suggest you check with your doctor as well. Keep posting here for support.
I am only on day 8 so I was feeling like you currently are (minus the sore knees) just last weekend. I got through those first few days by binge-watching TV shows. I actually watched almost 3 seasons of one show which amounts to something like 36 episodes.
Distract yourself in every way possible. Time is the only thing that will heal you. I was also house-bound because my withdrawal symptoms were pretty bad. Another day or two, and you should be back to normal on an emotional level at least.

Thanks for the encouraging words
Knowing that I dont have to go through that again is a nice realization.
Congratulations on day 2, RSanchez, and OUCH! on the knees. Sounds like a good time for reading and maybe binge-watching something you like and holds your attention.
It's day 2 for me also. My mother, brother and sister-in-law all recommended mystery books by Louise Penny, so I downloaded several to my Nook. And I bought a 500 piece garden-themed jigsaw puzzle from Amazon.
Let's plan to meet here in 364 days (365-2+1 for Leap Year) for our one-year anniversary, huh?
