Day 7 - My Christmas Gift
While I’m happy to have reached a one week milestone on Christmas Day, and it *is* an amazing gift, I received the best gift ever yesterday.
I’m staying with my son, dil and precious granddaughters until tonight. The girls wanted to go to church yesterday so, as we were getting ready my youngest granddaughter asked my son if he wanted to go with us. He was in the middle of baking and I was sure he’d say no. To my absolute amazement, he said, “Sure”.
30 minutes later all 5 of us were in church singing Christmas carols. Then. It was as if the skies opened up and this beam of light poured itself into my soul. I was sobbing. You see, my son is an atheist. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have asked God for him set foot in a church, yet here we were.

Blessings to everyone and may you all have at least one moment of peace on this special day.
