Day 409

This will be my second sober Christmas. I can definitely say it is 100% easier this time around. I think as the "first" one has already been experienced now I know what to expect. This time around I have set clear boundaries. I did not know how to do that a year ago. I did not have any boundaries in my life at all. Previous Christmases where really like any other day for me. It was just more acceptable to drink in the morning. I really liked that as now everybody was drinking at 8 AM not just me by myself. I really never cared for Christmas if it wasn't for the drinking.
After all it is only a day that leads into New Years Eve, so an excuse for most people to binge for a week.
I am so glad that I can see what alcohol is and what it does and how it affects the human being. That knowledge is power. I was so uninformed before. I so prefer sobriety. Merry Sober Christmas people.

Meŕry Christmas!

You're doing great and I see you're making healthy changes by setting boundaries to support your new life.

Very happy to see so many going forward and making healthy choices.

About time right?

Congrats🎄🎄

Congrats on your 2nd Christmas sober. Gosh I do not miss waking up in the morning searching for a drink so I would feel less sick.
The last couple (13) of Christmas's my family new I had a problem. So I would "sneak" with my own stash. Or just blow them off all together so I could drink the way I wanted to.
That is why this Christmas being Sober and present will be such a gift.
Have a nice holiday- Congrats on your Sobriety.
