I知 not feeling well
I'm sorry you are feeling like crap. Don't drink tonight if you can stay away from it. You will be all over the place, your thoughts will be further compromised, and you will crash when you come down, then you will be back where you are now. Plus hung over and sick again. A recipe for more sadness. I hope you can go get some support from in-real-life people tonight at your meeting.

My journey out of the depths of active addiction had moments each day of complete peace and serenity.
In the beginning there were fewer. In between the serene times was living hell on Earth.
Terror, palpitations, no sleep, anxiety etc etc. Basically the definition of insanity.
The crazyness slowly subsided. It was closer to I got used to feeling crazy and then it went away.
Nobody really cares except me and folks here and at AA meetings. I knew that there were.folks at my meetings that would take care of me if I needed it. Up to letting me sleep on their couch. Aa is awesome if needed.
I needed it initially and now I am making my way knowing I have Sr and AA in my corner always.
Of course there are Dr s as well.
Suffering was the key to my escape.
Thanks.

A pizza is a great idea. Don't be too hard on yourself. You could beat the crap out of yourself and lose a bunch of time on that and the past is still the same as it was. All you can do is make amends where you need to, learn from what happened and that is all we can do. Sometimes I am sad that I cannot go back and do it all different, but I think that is very typical of all people, not just us addicts. Have a slice and get to your meeting. I hope you can still make that meeting and be with some real life folks.
