Hi,
Day 49. I have a head cold, achy, stuffy and sore throat and headache.
I have not been sick with a (organic) legit?? ailment in about 10 years.
When I say legitimate I mean I am being honest of why I am sick.
Been sick with far worse symptoms withdrawing from Alcohol.
Still don't feel hot and I can recognize I have a bug.

Anyhow congrats on counting days. I use to go to a meeting where they went around the room and you were expected to say what day you
were on if you were under 90 days. And everyone clapped.(yeah you managed not to get wrecked last night) LOL sorry but thinking that way while they clapped for me...lightened up my despair. Every day is a miracle. I know absolutely how true that is..
and it sure kept me accountable. It also made me want to avoid the meeting when I went from day 74- to day 1 again. I think it was helpful though.

I was able to get the part time job in a professional setting that will be a great opportunity. It seems I have to get cleared by the Pope in order to start. Please pray for me that my background check works out.
It has in the past but I have an alcohol related blemish on my record.
And bad credit. Nothing major , I am not even sure if they will check my credit... Just praying that it does not fall through.

I put myself through this every time with these back ground checks.
I purposely chose a part time job so I will have time to focus on my recovery. My previous jobs were working from home long/odd hours.
Very isolating, cabin fever, and not a good position for me to be in.

I am resting today and will go to a meeting at some point.
Its dreary and rainy. I have no cash so I am super anxious about getting this job. Please pray for me my background check is ok, I have never
been denied before but they seem very strict.

Thanks for the post. I am so sorry you are sick and hope you feel better soon. Anything like that around Christmas is especially hard.

Thank you- it doesn't really feel like Christmas to me as of yet.
Last Christmas was awful for me. New Years eve even worse. Comatose in bed -withdrawing after hospital stay- I hope to feel so much better than last year..So thank you for thinking of me.
