Day 1 back to AA

Very bad night yesterday anc have drank to try to get over it.

Thrown all my alcohol down the sink. My anxiety levels have been through the roof today very very unpleasant.

i went to an AA meeting today and am back in contact with my AA contacts. I find AA difficult but I have to do something!

In early sobriety, I experienced anxiousness and impatience with my anxiety levels. Talk about pouring gasoline on a fire. My mantra was "this too shall pass" and it did, just not in my desired time frame.

I too, found AA to be difficult, but as it turned out, it was me that was creating the difficulty. When I learned to trust the process and do the work, amazing things happened.

I can't begin to express my gratitude for the gifts of recovery. Today I comprehend the concepts of peace and serenity and actually get to experience them.

The gifts are available to you as well. Keep moving forward. This time shall pass and can become a valuable tool in your arsenal.

Good choice and thanks for sharing! You are just starting and the things that seem weird or maybe off putting in AA can become understandable if we give it time. I looked around for those who had the kind of happiness, and freedom, laughter seemed common, and wanted to see how they got there.

Keep going and stay sober today!

Last Day 1 of this December, of 2019, of the Decade and on and on. Hit Jan 1 of the 20's with 16 days of sobriety and never look back. We don't drink anymore. I'm glad you are back.
