Day 112 boost

Sometimes random comments make it all worth while and give you a boost so you know your 100% on the right path. A lady I occasionally see when I walk my dogs stopped me to tell me how healthy I look and how much weight I’d lost and that I was looking really good and well. When it’s a random stranger it strangely seems different than close friends and family.

stick with it everyone I know it’s still early days for me but I’m starting to realise that life IS good without the demon.

excuse the ramble and a happy healthy sober Thursday to you all 😊

Congrats on 112 days sober. That is wonderful thank you for the positive post.

I remember years ago when I first realized I had an issue- I went a bit without drinking and an Executive in my office stopped in passing and said.

There is something different about you- I can not put my finger on it. You are so vibrant these days.

It was a random passing and I had never had much interaction with this person so it really opened my eyes to how alcohol effects our aura , mood , appearance-
just recently starting again at AA meanings someone said wow your eyes are so bright. Now I do not particularly have 'bright" eyes but saying wow your eyes
don't look dead might not as sounded as nice
haha

I'm not sure about the outside but I know I was dying on the inside!

I come to SR for stories like these. There is so much bad news in the world so I love individuals doing whatever tiny-huge steps to change themselves.

Carry on you all!

Not a ramble RA. Sometimes the small things like that show how great recovery can be.
