Day 2
Made it through Day 1. I already feel calmer and more relaxed without the caffeine. No cravings. Off to bed now and feel that my sleep will be more restful. Thank you all for your continued support. Pray that tomorrow I can still get through a 1 hour elliptical run without any caffeine.

Thanks everyone. Day 2 going well, and I did my workout earlier. I’m disappointed I lost my 16 days, but as they say in AA, beating myself up will not help me. So I just have to learn and move on and just enjoy that I am sober today and have a daily reprove from my addiction and disease.
When it is 16-1-1,000, it won't matter a bit. I'm still pretty new here and I have noticed a focus on counting consecutive sober days, which I guess is the point of all of this. But so many times that slip then back to Day 1 seems a bit harsh to me. But I guess for people like us it has to be a brutal count, because otherwise those little nag-headed voices in our heads will say "Hey, having a 1 thrown in there once in a while isn't going to hurt anything, right?" And then it's not 1. It's another few years of drinking. Nevertheless, I think it is awesome that you are back on Day 2 with 16 additional sober days out of the last 19. You are so much healthier because of that.
